The only sign that got it right.
CR 508 Spur in West Orange is an inconsistently signed county route. CR 508 Spur is designated as such, but only one sign that isn't even on the mainline signs it correctly. The EB sign along CR 508 Spur signs the route as CR 508 Alternate, and the WB sign along CR 508 Spur signs the route as the mainline of CR 508. This route exists primarily to connect CR 508 with I-280 and downtown West Orange.

How did they forget to add a SPUR to this sign?
Incorrect. This is CR 508 Spur, not CR 508 Alternate. CR 508 Alternate is a designation for the old Newark Turnpike at the CSX yard, but I don't even think that's valid! The route ends at CR 659 in downtown West Orange.
