The third-longest county route in New Jersey. And a route of almosts. Almost the second longest. Almost edged out CR 537 as the fourth-longest (until CR 537 was truncated). Almost reaches the Pennsylvania border in Frenchtown (ends at NJ 12 shortly before the border). Almost reaches the New York border (ends at CR 511 near the border - why doesn't CR 513 extend because it's longer?)
Hunterdon County:

The start of CR 513 at NJ 12 in Frenchtown.

Looking southbound from the end of CR 513 at NJ 12. And that sign is wrong. NJ 12 doesn't end here and goes in both directions from here (turn left for NJ 12 EB, go straight for NJ 12 WB). NJ 29 does not begin until NJ 12 follows a bend in Frenchtown. There should be a left and straight arrow for NJ 12, and a TO over the NJ 29 sign.

Here's proof NJ 12 doesn't end where CR 513 ends. However, the top sign indicating straight and right should be turned so the sign can be seen from NJ 12 EB, as you don't want NJ 12 WB traffic to ram the building!

The first reassurance sign for CR 513 is ahead at a fork in the road. This is for the split for traffic headed to Milford (via Milford Road on the left - transitions into CR 619), and for traffic following CR 513 (on the right) headed to Pittstown and Everittstown. And why is the 3 trying to run away from the 5 and the 1?
CR 513 intersects NJ 31 and has a short overlap with that route.
CR 513 on its way to High Bridge.
CR 513 makes the turn to High Bridge.
CR 512 begins at CR 513 in Califon.
CR 513 at the Hunterdon-Morris County line.
Morris County:
CR 513 / old NJ 24 in Long Valley.
CR 513 / old NJ 24 in Chester.
CR 513 / Blackwell Street in Dover.
CR 513 in downtown Rockaway.
CR 513 north of Rockaway, near the I-80 junction.
CR 513 junctions I-80.
I would like to know what that sign in green under NORTH CR 513 is, but it's faded out of recognition.
CR 513 in Hibernia.
CR 513 junctions NJ 23. Because NJ 23 is a (very) divided highway, CR 513 uses jughandles and overlaps both directions of NJ 23 to be continuous through NJ 23. Along NJ 23, CR 513 crosses between Morris and Passaic Counties.
Passaic County:
One of the jughandles that CR 513 uses to stay continuous across NJ 23.
No. CR 513 cannot junction itself. This is CR 513 NB departing from NJ 23 NB.
After leaving NJ 23, CR 513 starts its independent routing in Passaic County.
The final CR 513 reassurance shield, NB.

It's unsigned, but CR 513 turns right at this intersection to head towards CR 511 and end just two miles short of the New York state line. Why CR 513 doesn't turn left here to follow the Warwick Turnpike to Upper Greenwood Lake and end at the New York state line is beyond me. First of all, it would make more sense to give CR 513 additional length. Second of all, CR 513 is the third-longest CR, so why not end it at New York when the shorter CR 511 gets to end at New York.
The northern terminus of CR 513 at CR 511. Neither CR 513 nor CR 511 are signed here, with the exception of CR 511 NB towards Greenwood Lake, NY.
