CR 535

CR 535 starts and ends at 600-series county routes. At its southern terminus, CR 535 ends at the Trenton city line and becomes Mercer CR 635. At its northern terminus, CR 535 ends at Middlesex CR 686 Spur (although it also junctions US 9 and NJ 35). I can forgive the northern terminus because it's at another state route, but the southern terminus? Just extend CR 535 to enter Trenton and end at either US 206 or NJ 29 (even though State Street is east-west in Trenton).

CR 535 intersects the northern terminus of CR 539 / western terminus of CR 685 in Cranbury. Main Street in Cranbury is CR 539 from US 130 to CR 535, then CR 535 until that designation turns off Main Street at Plainsboro Road, and lastly a municipal road until its northern intersection with US 130. Main Street used to be NJSHR 2, a predecessor of NJH 25 and US 130.

Historic buildings along a historic road. CR 535 has a short overlap with CR 615.

This is an old cast iron highway sign up to state standards dating back to when CR 535 was NJSHR 2.

A historic church.

CR 535 uses Plainsboro Road to hook onto Cranbury-South River Road.

CR 535 has a short overlap with US 130 because the Cranbury-South River Road intersection with US 130 was reconfigured. Notice the old sign.

CR 535 intersects CR 522.
