Former IN 443

IN 443 covered the entire length of Happy Hollow Road in West Lafayette, serving as a connector between IN 43 (River Road) and US 52 (Sagamore Parkway). This was needed because as a result of a large elevation difference between IN 43 on the Wabash River floodplain and US 52 on the high ground, a direct interchange between the two routes could not be built. This designation was deleted in 2013 because US 52 was rerouted along the US 231 western bypass of West Lafayette and IN 43 was truncated to I-65.

Signage at the southern end of former IN 443 still directs traffic to I-65.

Former IN 443 covers a large elevation change.

Former IN 443 at Sagamore Parkway (former US 52). Unfortunately, there are no directional signs indicating Sagamore Parkway EB or WB at this interchange, making it unnecessarily confusing.
