FDR Drive runs along the East River and provides a way for cars to bypass the busy streets of Manhattan.

The Battery Park Underpass starts FDR Drive.

Trucks are banned from FDR Drive. But the South Street exit allows trucks who somehow stumbled on the Drive to exit before it's too late.

Why is there a sign for trucks to exit when trucks aren't allowed on FDR Drive?
