I-469

The eastern part of the beltway around Fort Wayne. I-69 is the western part. Also, why does I-469 change directions (outer loop/primary direction/counterclockwise is EB-NB-WB) when it is effectively just another north-south route that doesn't need to have its directional changes signed and it intersects I-69 twice?

The western end of I-469 at I-69/Lafayette Center Road. I wonder why after the upgrades to Lafayette Center Road, US 24 wasn't moved back here to follow the southern/eastern leg of I-469. It used to follow that part, but instead of Lafayette Center Road, US 24 jogged onto I-69 SB then I-469 EB.

The official zero point for mileage on I-469 is at the midpoint of the I-69 overpass.

I-469 carries several US Route designations around Fort Wayne to bypass the city, just like I-465 in Indianapolis. But unlike I-465, the US Routes are signed along I-469.
