I-86 in New York

The entire east-west portion of NY 17 (from the Pennsylvania state line to I-87) is slated to become I-86. However, not all of the road has been upgraded to I-86. This page includes both existing segments of I-86 as well as segments of NY 17 slated to become I-86.

With each new segment of I-86, NY 17 signage is removed. What happens to the NY 17 designation after I-86 is complete is unknown. Most likely, NY 17 will be truncated to Harriman.
