M-17

M-17 is a short trunkline highway connecting Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti.

Along Washtenaw Avenue, M-17 begins just outside Ann Arbor at US 23, US 23 Business, and I-94 Business. M-17 is the eastern continuation of Washtenaw Avenue.

M-17 is an important commercial corridor between the two downtowns of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti.

The most famous structure along M-17. The famous Ypsilanti Water Tower. And just like how a joystick is used to navigate game characters, this giant joystick is used by Ypsilanti locals to help navigate.
It is a part of Eastern Michigan University urban legend. Cabinet Magazine has even spoken about this tower. But I'll keep it family friendly here.
Here, M-17 splits into a one-way pair to pass through the town center.

M-17 begins an overlap with US 12 Business.

M-17 ends at US 12.
