After Exit 14, the New Jersey Turnpike splits into two alignments at the Southern Mixing Bowl. These are known as the Eastern Spur and the Western Spur (formally called the Easterly Alignment and Westerly Alignment). The two alignments converge at the Northern Mixing Bowl.
The Western Spur is the newer roadway and carries the de facto route of I-95. De jure, this spur is I-95W, but is also considered I-95. This route is preferred for accessing the Meadowlands Sports Complex, I-80, and the George Washington Bridge.
Bonus material: Per a 2023 AASHTO meeting, I-95 is approved to follow the Western Spur, and the Eastern Spur will be I-695. I don't know when, or if, this will ever take effect.
