NJ 13 of one of those ridiculous state highways in New Jersey that's a result of the state maintaining one bridge and little more. I don't know what New Jersey's logic is when creating these highways, because technically any bridge over state facilities such as NJ Transit is state-maintained. So does that warrant a state highway designation?
The entirety of NJ 13 is the Lovelandtown Bridge over the Point Pleasant Canal between Bay Head and Point Pleasant.
The road continues to the east and west as Ocean CR 632.
Luckily, there are some NJ 13 signs thanks to new mileposts, so I have some stuff to talk about.
The first milepost on NJ 13.
The name of the bridge. Lovelandtown is a neighborhood in Bay Head between the bridge and Bay Avenue.
I've never seen that before. Pedestrian Stop Line.
State-grade markings.
Is this the bridgetender's work area?
The Point Pleasant Canal, looking south.
The end of NJ 13 in Bay Head.
