Why isn't this an extension of NJ 57? Because the NJ 57 bypass of Hackettstown was never built. But still, no excuse for NJDOT to delete this designation and make NJ 57 reach US 46. It doesn't hurt to streamline route designations.
NJ 182 at its southern terminus. This route also is the eastern end of NJ 57, and the western end of old NJ 24. NJ 57 doesn't extend to US 46 because NJ 57 was supposed to continue straight from its end to bypass Hackettstown and reach US 46 further east.

It's a short route, but it's still important. NJ 182 near its northern terminus with US 46.
