The Queensboro Bridge is the westernmost segment of NY 25. In addition, this is the segment of NY 25 that leaves (geographic) Long Island, albeit for a short distance.
Upper Roadway
The Upper Roadway has the most open views on the entire bridge. However, this upper level is unconventional in many senses. Trucks are banned from the upper level and have to use the lower level, an unusual situation. Additionally, the upper level has a 12-foot vertical clearance, lower than the lower level with a 13-foot vertical clearance.

Why are there overhead signs on the left-hand side of the road? This is because the upper level of the bridge can be reversible during peak hour. The signage looks confusing, but the median barrier prevents unnecessary crossovers even in peak hour.
NY 25 uses both levels of the bridge, however, only the lower level directly connects to Queens Boulevard (official NY 25). The upper level uses Thomson Avenue to connect with official NY 25.

The Upper Roadway ends at Thomson Avenue. Thomson is completely unsigned from the overheads, opting to use Queens Boulevard and Jackson Avenue.
A drive on the Upper Roadway heading eastbound.
