US 301 was rerouted onto a tolled freeway (I'll just use tollway) in Delaware to get rid of multiple unnecessary concurrencies and better serve traffic heading to Annapolis from the northeast.

These embankments are for a future spur road connecting the US 301 tollway to its original alignment, DE 71 at the Summit Bridge. This spur is expected to be a two-lane expressway. DelDOT owns the land and is monitoring traffic conditions if the spur needs to be built.
Exit 5 connects to the aforementioned DE 71, leading to the Summit Bridge.
