WIS 794

WIS 794 is an extension of I-794 to Mitchell Airport. The reason why WIS 794 isn't an interstate is because the Lake Parkway was not built to interstate standards, although it is limited access.

The start of the limited access Lake Parkway. The southernmost segment of WIS 794 from College Avenue to the start of the Lake Freeway is a surface arterial, Pennsylvania Avenue, and doesn't really have much interesting.

The Lake Parkway was intended to extend further south to the Amstutz Expressway (IL 137) in Waukegan, however, that extension would never be built. In addition, I don't know if the Lake Parkway (or the Amstutz Expressway) would have connected with a possible northern extension of Lake Shore Drive as far as Chicago.

The end of WIS 794 at the Port of Milwaukee. Here, WIS 794 becomes I-794.
