Former IN 126

IN 126 was a designation that connected IN 526 to US 231 (Northwestern Avenue). This route was deleted in 2013 when all state routes in Lafayette and West Lafayette were truncated and US 52 / US 231 were routed to bypass the two cities.

Former IN 126 was rebuilt to have a roundabout for the golf complex.

These were posted to navigate traffic from Ross-Ade Stadium via IN 126 before the US 52 / 231 bypass was built. There also used to be signs to the right of TO NORTH I-65 that indicated TO WEST US 52. IN 126 westbound to McCormick Road northbound led to US 52 / 231, and eventually to I-65 (via US 231).

Why the large distance between turning signs on this mast arm? This is because there used to be US 231 signs between the left turn and right turn only indicators.
