Keystone Parkway was the last segment of IN 431 to remain IN 431, only being decommissioned in 2007. The road was handed to the city of Carmel.
At I-465, Keystone Avenue transitions into the Keystone Parkway. This was where IN 431 was truncated to when INDOT deleted or diverted all routes inside the I-465 beltway in the 1990s.
After I-465, the Keystone Parkway becomes a freeway. While there are traffic lights at the I-465 junction, traffic going to and from the north to I-465 doesn't encounter any of them.

Municipal-style signage that normally wouldn't fly on an INDOT road.

The Keystone Parkway ends at US 31.
