IN 352 connects the Indiana-Illinois border to US 52, running parallel to IN 26. This route used to be IN 152 until US 152 was established in Lake County. This became IN 352. The IN 152 designation was reinstated along US 152 when that route was downgraded.

Whether this is a child route of US 52 is unknown. The x52 numbering may just be a coincidence.

IN 352 starts at the Indiana-Illinois state line at an intersection with IL 9 / IN 26. The road straddles the state line until a curve to completely enter Indiana.
