A connector between Somers Point and Ocean City. But, like some other short state highways, was made for much more. This was supposed to be a highway between Ocean City and Mays Landing, but NJ 52 wasn't built all the way to Mays Landing. Instead, CR 559 serves this purpose, connecting (with help from NJ 52 from Ocean City) Somers Point and Mays Landing. And interestingly, despite the proximity of the two routes, NJ 152 does not connect to NJ 52 (although I would like it to, so see more on that route's page).
On 9th Street in Ocean City. This isn't NJ 52 yet, but somehow this NJ 52 sign shows up. I don't know if there should have been a TO above the 52 or a straight arrow beneath the 52.
Bridge photos. This high-level bridge was built in 2012 to replace an old bascule bridge.
The islands between Somers Point and Ocean City have names... and fishing piers. And one of them even has a welcome center SB, and a map of the NJ 52 bridge.
Egregious sign error. CR 585 hasn't existed in Cape May County for a long time. This is Atlantic County, right before the former Somers Point Circle where NJ 52 intersects CR 585 and CR 559.
One of two signs indicating NJ 52 NB, after the former Somers Point Circle, and nearing the road's end at US 9. The road continues as Laurel Drive to the Garden State Parkway.
