Sussex CR 615

Sussex CR 615 is a short continuation of NPS 615. As a CR, CR 615 connects Peters Valley to Sandyston. The route used to be longer, however, a bridge was washed out, so CR 615 was shortened and through traffic was diverted.

Active CR 615:

The southern terminus of CR 615 at Kuhn Road in Peters Valley. The road continues south as NPS 615.

Milepost 10 is a milepost for the distance from Flatbrookville at the southern terminus of NPS 615, not the distance from Kuhn Road.

A missing CR 615 shield!

CR 615 ends* at CR 640. Why the asterisk? While CR 615 does end legislatively at CR 640 and all traffic must use CR 640 to go to the intended destination of CR 560, CR 615 used to continue further north and east along Ennis Road. However, a bridge on Ennis Road was washed out, so traffic is redirected onto CR 640.

Abandoned CR 615:

The northernmost portion of CR 615, Ennis Road, is abandoned thanks to a washed out bridge over Little Flat Brook.

South of Little Flat Brook:

Ennis Road, abandoned CR 615, continues northeast from CR 640. While Ennis Road is open for creek access, there are no homes nor farms served by Ennis Road, so ROAD CLOSED is relevant.

Abandoned pavement that has not been maintained at all.

What is that small obelisk doing? Abandoned CR 615 at Little Flat Brook.

North of Little Flat Brook:

The northern abutment of the washed out bridge.

Abandoned pavement that hasn't been maintained in years.

The road is still open, but it leads to nowhere. There are no homes, farms, or other areas CR 615 serves. This sign is logical.

CR 615 ends at CR 560.
